'''The Distinguished''', also known as '''the Plighted End''' and '''Imperatrix''' (formerly as '''Empress Cleopatra'''), is one of the Hours of [[the Third Fansus]], created by [[User:Lyrositor|Lyrositor]]. She arose from the ritual sacrifice of hundreds of thousands of her subjects, at the apex of her mortal might. She is in equal parts aspected with [[:Category:Winter|Winter]], for the price that is required, and [[:Category:Forge|Forge]], for the promised reward. She is an Hour of terrible demands and fair rewards. 

== History ==
The Distinguished arose from an Egypt which resisted assimilation by the Roman Empire, managing instead, through alliances, marriages, and superior strategy, to take over significant swathes of the Empire, including, eventually, Rome itself (though the Roman Empire endured elsewhere). Such was the loyalty and fervor the Pharaoh-Empress commanded that no enemy could stand before the strength of her forces, with sacrifices to her own God being a widespread practice. At the peak of her power, she demanded the ultimate price of her people: that they lay down their lives for her, providing her with the strength she needed to ascend to Hourhood on a river of blood.
