In histories now lost, and times unremembered it has appeared in a myriad forms. In these histories, and in this time, but four are known.
The Calling Man - An elderly, weathered, and solitary man. His hair is white, as is his beard. His eyes too gaze out with a solid white blindness, though his gaze follows otherwise. His clothes vary with time and place, appearing almost always in the local dress. His skin is hardened and leathery, tanned unusually by a lifetime of sunshine. Always beckoning, never calling, he is always a step away, behind a further corner, to be followed and chase. And then he is gone, no longer alone.
