The Perennial, is one of the Hours of the Second Fansus, created by Cospinol. Its primary aspect is Lantern, with a secondary aspect of Heart. An hour of faded memory, it dwells in the tide of the sea of mists. The hour that lives and dies as the tide ebbs, only to live again as the sun once more rises. Much debate exists whether The Perennial is a single or multiple Hours.

Description

Appearance

The Perennial takes the appearance of a tangle of rotting kelp at the edge of the Sea of Mists. Admist the kelp blooms a single glass flower with each low tide. As the high tide comes the flower goes with it. The beach surrounding it is lined with countless shards of glass, with untold more doubtlessly ground to become the shimmering sand of it’s beach.

Principles

The Tide Home is the the hour of hope and despair; a cycle of tedious balance. It exists not only as the accepting of doom, but the defiant who yet spits in it’s face. The struggle for purpose knowing there yet exists none. It is called upon by the mother holding a child, and by the father holding a corpse.
