The Knife's Edge, also known as the Argentate Augur and The Whisper Wind, is the Eleventh Hour of the Second Fansus, created by Lyrositor. It is one of the two Opalescent Twins, along with the Storm-Tossed, born from the deadly struggle between the Goldsmith and the Hunter: as the former's blood commingled with the sea's mist, the twins arose, the Knife's Edge preceding the Storm-Tossed. Its primary aspect is Secret Histories, with a secondary aspect of Edge.

Wherever a transformative event is about to occur, whenever the storm is about to strike, the Knife's Edge is there. It is the crucial decision, the ultimate chance, the final minutes before all is lost. Where its blade falls, history is split and Man is divided. It both fears and admires its sibling, and is always flying ahead of it to warn others of its approach. It takes no side but involves itself with all.

Description

Appearance

The Knife's Edge is more often felt than seen, as anything from a vague sense of unease to the inner voice that coldly outlines the options. When it does choose to appear, it is most often in the form of a silvery clockwork sea gull, every feather a sharply honed, interlocking blade.

  • The Spirarch: The Knife's Edge holds no enmity towards the Spirarch, though it has often thwarted her plans by highlighting some of her more dangerous deals to her signatories.
