Description
The Boatman is a peculiar Hour. A gatekeeper - he is the way into the City. The only way in, in fact. He dictates who enters and who will feed the river. That is his task.
History
the boatman's past as a mortal are kept hidden by him so most of this is rumor and tale. he was born a decedent of the fire keeper, his blood thicker with him then most. most never saw him as human, a monster in his actions. he hid it well for most of his mortal life working as a boatman in Venice, the rivers would run red during his time as a gondolier, in the abandoned water ways. when the breach began he was one of the first to help bulid the city, an old voice in his head told him to, he obeyed. finally when they where done the wild gods appeared, they drowned him in blood, of friends workers, and his home. he struggled for a long time, until he let the rivers of blood take. it gave him a mission, to make sure this would happen to no one else. he arose a new thing, The boatman as we know him, he found the other who where interested and and able and rebuilt the city, doing his duty until the world grows to its final winter and all board the boat.
Appearance
A large figure shrouded in a red cloak and donning a dark mask. The mask has smiling face - none have seen his face for a long time. His limbs are blood-red.
Principles
He is a guide and gatekeeper, thus he is knock. He is the shepherd of the dead, and slayer of those who do not pay the toll - thus he is winter. He is a sadist and enjoys his profession greatly, thus he is edge.

The boatman is worshiped by mortals for fair deals and passage. He cares not for their pleas, however.
