Lock text:The expedition refuses to advance. And so do you. The tools of revelry lie before us, in instruments laid discarded before us and in the bodies of our fellows. Let us resume the Revel where the others left off, and never let us End. After all... Why shouldn’t we?
Start text: In the grasp of this unnatural impulse, our purpose here is almost entirely lost to us. We will need a Hour of Grail's blessing to stomach what it intends for us, or Winter's solemnity to drive away its predations.

Winter Invocation
We call upon the Cuckoo
- Winter 10: We call upon the Cuckoo, who cannot be Trusted: The first acolytes of the Cuckoo were deceived to create the Peacock, but then refused to End or be devoured. The Cuckoo will remember her outrage, and drive off the Broken-Bird.
- Winter 5: We call upon the Cuckoo, who Denies. Cuckoo denies the desires of others, if only so that she might take more for herself. She might stifle these sanguine impulses.
- Winter 1: We call upon the Cuckoo who Deceives. The Cuckoo takes from her petitioners, and always asks for more. It is unlikely she will aid us.
- Winter Success: The Urge is doused like a torch plunged into ice water. The revelers around us buckle and collapse, their connection to their god and each other severed for the moment. Take this chance to flee.
- Winter Failure: Indeed the Joy and Lust dissipate for a moment, replaced by a flash of icy hate that chills the breath. Fool. Collapse and scream, watching as your followers destroy themselves for their own amusement.
Grail Invocation
We call upon the Peacock
- Grail 10: We call upon the Peacock, who Permits no Ending. To experience life and all it has to offer, Peacock refused to Die, and therefore can never End. We too feel that yearning, that desire for more. We will endure this and continue on for more.
- Grail 5: We call upon the Peacock, who is Kind. Even while confined by the Hours, the Peacock keeps an Eye on every act of depravity. If you can call out to him and distinguish yourself in your lusts while his sight, and he might take special notice of us.
- Grail 1: We call upon the Peacock, who is Joyous. The Peacock delights in every touch, every sensation. We mortals can contain but a sliver of his Joy, but he might yet take notice of us.
- Birds of a Feather (Grail Success): The urge to do the unspeakable is overpowering... But we have survived worse, maybe even done worse on our own. This is nothing to us. When the Red Need dissipates at last we stand alone among the fallen revelers, refreshed and almost-sated, our smiles not entirely our own. Our fellows shrink back at the sight of us now, but it no longer matters. We press on.
- Failure: The Revel Continues. We sing! We dance! We feed! Every impulse is indulged. Some collapse, cannot continue. It no longer matters, their bodies shall sustain us. More! More!
