The Array

The Array is a Fansus location accessible from The Gilded Gate.

Description

The Engine fought hard for this place, close to the top of the Mansus, that its friend might build her magnum opus.

Events

• I visited the Engineer at her labours last night. And something happened. She noticed me. “So high, so far, are you?” she asked. She hopped off the top of one of the great panels. “Come, have some tea. Maybe you’ll rise farther still. Maybe you’ll help that old stack of cogs living down in the Wood. Let me help you help it...” Over dark, bitter tea, she told me about how to understand a certain module I might uncover.

• Last night I heard the Engineer cursing. With a rifle, she was taking aim at what seemed to be an owl that was strafing her great work. She less drove it off than bored it, and swore at it as it flew away. Her words burned with such fire and passion that they branded themselves into my soul and still give it lingering warmth that may guard it.
  • Gives Vehemence, which Dread counters check for first, and if it finds it, just ends
• The Engineer was not present last night, for she had completed her work, at least for the moment. The array thrummed with power as it drank the light of the Glory and exuded a more controlled power. You caught a little bit of that power last night and now you still hold it in your palms. The light of the Glory will not long last, but while it does, take its light in. You hold the sun in your hands.
