The Fool's Gold is an Hour of the Fourth Fansus, created by [[User:Maltramac|Maltramac]]. His aspects are Heart and Edge, and some occultists ascribe him the Moth principle as well. The Great Enemy is a God-From-Flesh, ascended into the broken halls of the Mansus following the catastrophic Collision. He is a deceiver-god who falsely claims responsibility for many of the world's evils in order to promote his true agenda. He is Murphy's Law, he is bias in observations, he wants you to blame him and hate him for all the world's evils because the hate will give you strength to survive in this broken world.
==Description==
===History===
The man who became the Hour called Fool's Gold was an aspiring and opportunistic occultist in the days before the Collision. When the Houses shattered, he seized his chance to ascend above his stature, and his newfound power safeguarded him well in the chaos that followed in the Collision's wake - especially since, unlike the older Hours, he did not involve himself in the cataclysm.

It was not until the thrill of his ascension faded that the Fool's Gold came to assess the state of the broken world - and he found that for all his newfound power and ability, repairing the damage reality had sustained was far beyond him. His psyche beyond the mortal dangers of despair and ennui, he withdrew deep into the shattered Mansus to formulate his Grand Plan for the sake of the world's salvation.

===Principles===
The core principle of the Great Enemy is survival and strength.. However, he does not grant this blessing in response to prayers. One of the central tenets of the Grand Plan can be summed up as "what does not kill you, makes you stronger", and to this end, the manifestations of the Fool's Gold antagonize and taunt the mortals who receive his protection, leading them to find a source of strength in spite and hatred.

The ultimate goal of the Grand Plan is to guide a mortal into becoming a worthy successor: someone who can rise up, much like the man who became the Great Enemy once did; someone who will slay the Hour, claim his power for themselves and rise even higher; someone who will have the strength to fix this broken world where the Fool's Gold came short.
