The Leech is an unnumbered Hour of the Second Fansus. It strives to devour the Histories and supplant them, becoming the only truth of the Wake. It accomplishes this through its servant Long, The Children of the Leech, who enter into the true Histories to devour the historical relevance of individuals through their blood. This strips the individuals of their past devouring not only their memories but the consequences of their actions and their impact on history itself. If the Long finds this history useful, it will take the history for itself and become responsible for the things its victim did. If not, the Leech devours it. In any case, surviving victims are left amnesiacs bereft of a past. In most cases, the resulting wound in history will heal as any wound, and the victim will find themselves to be a beggar or other lowlife, with nobody believing their claims of having been someone who mattered before being attacked by a freakish leech-being. The Children of the Leech are powerful shapeshifters with a tendency to infiltrate high society to find historically significant victims to feed on.
