Appearance

The Sockpuppet exists outside both the Histories and the House. It presses its ‘form’ onto the edges of the Mansus, or pushes out from within the fabric of history, so that it might present itself to our world. As such, the Sockpuppet has no recognizable ‘appearance’, because it’s only ‘consistent’ features are often written off as madness.

Summon the left eye of the Sockpuppet

The Sockpuppet cannot tread the Histories without tearing them asunder. When it’s curiosity is tempted most, it casts a piece from an eye into the world below. With the right temptations and a great deal of Lantern, we may summon one of those fragments.

A blinding white slowly replaces the light, turning the slightest shadows to sunspots. As the growing contrast overtakes the room, something that is not quite a shadow winks at us. When the world we know returns, we know we are watched.
