Lock text: We need Forge or Lantern to suppress this curse. Otherwise, it will not keep us from our goal, but it will trouble us later.
Start text: Whatever sealed this place, it sought to not just prevent the further work of these adepts, but to undo it in its entirety. Lantern will allow us to keep hold of our minds, or Forge burn it away entirely.

Expeditions

  • An Exhibition of Nowhere
  • Monastery of the Enlighteners
  • Tehrye

Requirements

  • Lantern (Invokes the Caladrius)
  • Forge (Invokes the Silver Owl)

Lantern Invocation

We call upon the Caladrius

  • Lantern 10: We call upon the Caladrius, who lights the way to knowledge

The Caladrius protects, heals, and learns. Its light will protect us and keep the curse at bay,

  • Lantern 5: We call upon the Caladrius, who heals

The Caladrius cures all ills of the body. The ills of the mind and occult are harder, but possible. We'll probably make it through.

  • Lantern 1: We call upon the Caladrius, who is Glorious

The Caladrius protects humans, but it does not understand them, and its protection may do harm. We may be able to put away this curse.

  • Lantern Success: We do not understand the curse. We do not cease the curse. But we are protected against it, and we move on.
  • Lantern Failure: The pain is beyond description, but it is our only warning. We must flee quickly, before we are no more.

Forge Invocation

We call upon the Silver Owl

  • Forge 10: We call upon the Silver Owl, who will not submit to tyranny. The Silver Owl is the breaker of chains, the savior of slaves, and the bane of monarchs. Her power will shatter this curse for good.
  • Forge 5: We call upon the Silver Owl, who cannot be commanded. Her power cannot be controlled, but we are probably less offensive in her eyes than this curse. We'll probably be fine.
  • Forge 1: We call upon the Silver Owl, who is free. The Silver Owl brooks no orders, but she loves freedom. She might consider our freedom to live more important than the freedom of insanity.
  • Forge Success: The curse is shattered. We may pass, free from harm. We will continue on.
  • Forge Failure: The curse clings! These chains bind tighter than we thought. We can pass, but it will cling to us.

Impact of the Curse

Eats a Passion.
