The Uncountable Habits of Continually Sane Cultists is a book from the Fansus timeline. The author was a member of the People's Committee for Openings, under the shared pseudonym of Jonanna the Sane.

Description

The Committee advises with large bold letters reading this book BEFORE any more what it calls delicately ‘Advanced’ texts. It is written by the pseudonymous ‘Joanna the Sane’, who in a jovial manner describes the do’s and don’ts of not falling into insanity, despair, or omnicidal mania.

“...Although he did in the end go quite mad. It really is not advisable to look upon such things without company. Now, my old friend Joachim, he had a wonderful method of maintaining his mind while reading Vak…”

Study Start Finish

By the end, she details how she managed to beat the thing that had been Joachim to death and heartily advises against reading any books that seem to turn their own pages. It does at least have a happy ending, as Casimir manages to regain his mind through careful invocation of the Moth.
