Description
History
In the early days of Man, or perhaps even before them, the Old Wyrm descended from the Glory together with FNORDMother Songbird, his female counterpart and lover. Their couplings brought forth new gods for the fledgling mankind and thus he is called the Godsire, but inevitably, tragedy struck. In giving birth to FNORD2the Demiurge, a grand power of Forge, FNORD Mother Songbird suffered a terrible wound and soon went Nowhere.
Distraught by his love's fate, the Wyrm forced open the Door To Nowhere in an attempt to rescue her. What occurred next, none but the Old Wyrm himself can tell, but the Hour returned alone, in defeat and shameful failure. Thus he is called the Once-Pilgrim, for he journeyed and returned.
Principles
The Wyrm wields the principle of Knock to open what has to be opened, no matter the price. He wields the principle of Lantern, for he comes from the Glory and knows no mercy. Mistakes are not to be forgiven or forgotten. They are to be corrected, even if the attempt would consume you, and to this end the Wyrm lends his powers to mortals.

Worship
The Once-Pilgrim is worshipped by many who are driven to fix the wrongs of this world, particularly the sins of their own pasts. There is only one step required to become a follower of the Wyrm. No invocations or ceremonies are necessary. All he asks of mortals is commitment, a deep resolve to press on no matter what terrible price will be enacted. He-Who-Knocks hears every such plea in the hearts of humans and answers each one.
