The feasts often happen after his hunts, which isn't a coincidence. The hunting dogs of the Fleeced Foyer are the Valet's mortal enemies. They sometimes engage in fights when the Valet hunts, and it is not always clear who is the prey.

The Valet used to be friends with the '''Lady of Lace''', before the Embrace was weaved into her. Her consciousness has been almost completely lost during the process, but the Mantle and the Valet still share some amity towards each other.
